How to Install Balterio Laminate Flooring Underfloor heating systems The Balterio laminate flooring are compatible with underfloor heating systems as long as the water tubes are min. 3 cm under the surface and that the temperature of 28°C and the moisture level of 1.5% are not exceeded. Before beginning the installation of the laminate floors turn off the heating system and make sure that the temperature of the floor is of no more than 18°C A Damp Screen Membrane must be used and, if the foil comes in different sizes, ensure a minimum overlap of at least 20 cm before using tape to join them. After completing the installation of the floors wait a minimum of 24 hours before turning on the underfloor heating making sure there are no excessive temperature differences turning your heat up and down gradually. Preparing the floor Note: Please install a damp screen membrane first for any type of subfloor. Installing the underlay: cover the entire surface of the floor with the underlay ensuring that the foil goes up the wall about 5 cm and that when using foil in different sizes, the strips overlap at least 20 cm. Installing laminate flooring smooth out and clean the surface of the base floor, then install the damp screen membrane and the underlay.
