Necessary tools
- saw
- measuring tape

- laminate flooring installation kit: expansion blocks, buffer block, tension iron

Acclimatization
Leave the sealed packs of laminate flooring in the center of the room where they will be installed for 48 hours, ensuring a room temperature of 18°C, relative air humidity between 40 to 70% and at a floor
temperature of more than 15°C.
Note! The packs must remain in sealed condition until the boards are to be installed.
SUB-FLOORS:
Remove any type of soft flooring like carpets before installation. If the existing floor coverings are damp sealed, like PVC, linoleum, rubber or wooden sub-floors, you do not need to remove them.
Note! In case of electrical radiant sub floor heating systems make sure that the surface temperature never exceeds 28°C.
Basic rules for laying
- a 0.2 mm damp proof membrane must be placed over the full area of all screeded and stone floors. Strips must overlap by at least 20 cm (8") directly under the joints.
- we recommend the use of a sound proofing underlay. Do not overlap the strips.
- always allow for expansion gaps of 8 – 10 mm (1/3" - 2/5") between the floor and all walls, units etc.
- in case of doorways, throughways and rooms larger than 10 m (33 feet) in length and/or width allow for additional expansion gaps and have them covered with an expansion profile.
